Professional Profile 
​
Karauria is a Learning Leaders PLD facilitator. His teaching career has primarily been within Kura Kaupapa Māori from primary through to secondary levels of Kura Kaupapa Māori settings. Karauria has had experience as a teaching principal of a small Kura Kaupapa Māori. During this time he was part of a successful research program to accelerate Māori medium students' curriculum achievement (led by Rosina Shandley). Karauria is extending his experience in Māori medium settings by supporting both schools and kura to accelerate Māori students’ academic achievements.
